Preservation of Old Louisville School progressing

Revitalization efforts on the more than century-old school building in Louisville are progressing with new projects currently ongoing. The two-story brick school has been a “work in progress” by former students and citizens of Louisville since it was vacated. After the Louisville public schools no longer used the building, Dixie Academy private school was formed in the late 1960s and occupied the school. Later, a new school was built for the students at Dixie and the building was vacated in 1998. The Town of Louisville then purchased the building from Dixie.
